Your corporate ID, or brand should be considered as everything you do and how that is perceived by your customers and the public. It's more than just putting your logo on things. It's about having a brand that is recognisable, with a consistent message, and comes to mind when thinking about the products and services you offer.
Logo Design
Your logo is the pivotal part of your corporate ID, but believe it or not, it's not as easy as it looks. Create a single graphic that completely reflects the business, product or service, and most of what you stand for, is quite difficult.
When we create a logo, we chat with the people in the business, not just to learn about their products, but to find out the culture of the company. If you're a fun and creative group, or serious and professional company, this needs to be reflected in your logo. The relevant application of the logo also needs to be considered - how will this look on a banner or website? Will it work in monotone or animation?
We take the time to create something that truly represents your business as a whole and will work for what it's needed for. We generally start with 8-10 concepts, and then as many refinements as it take to truly capture the essence of your business.
Icons & Imagery
There are a number of other important elements that make up your corporate ID, including icons and imagery. Have you ever been into a shop that's in the middle of rebranding? The sign out the front is usually the first to be updated. You see one thing on the outside, and when you go inside, the signage has the old branding. It looks messy and inconsistent. That is what it's like when the corporate ID as a whole isn't considered and that's where we come in. Like your logo, your icons and imagery should reflect your company, and all tie in together in one consistent presence and message. We can create a suite of icons and imagery including product icons, web buttons, typography and select stock images consistent with your branding. We've created icons for a number of large corporates, and the trick is to keep it simple and concise. Please see our portfolio for examples.
Style Guides
One of the most important elements of a successful corporate ID is a consistent look and message. Important elements such as icons, imagery and messages need to not only look consistent, they have to be delivered consistently. That comes from every person in your business, from the letters they send out, to the person who updates the website content, to the receptionist who answers the phone. We can create a style guide that defines these, and gives clear guidelines for everyone to follow to ensure of uniformity and consistency.
Generally our style guides include guidelines on the use of the logo and icons, use of typography, and can be as detailed as the use of messages and wording. They should also be periodically updated to ensure currency as new products etc are created.
